My Publications about Enigma

Introduction

As I am passionate about the history of French cryptography, I have been to the French army archives several times located in Vincennes, near Paris. I was looking for information in particular on Napoleon and the creation of the Chiffre service by Cartier and Givierge.

Reading the book by Dermot Turing, I learned that General Bertrand's archives were accessible to the public. Out of curiosity I looked at them. I concluded that there was material for one or two articles on the subject and that I was publishing in the journal Cryptologia.
